Several days late: my Think Monday - Think ATC entry.

tomorrow turned into yesterday

Several things happened:
- Sunday went out to have pills and booze and I missed the boat - figuratively speaking (no Gothic Arches)
- Monday was dedicated to a very good lecture concerning rapes and the legislation about them. Then there was the man. You know. The. (no Monday ATC's or Mixed Media Monday)
- Tuesday, which is something I'm currently living through, was the day when I took the cat to the vet. He has flu. The cat, not the vet. Now I'm crying my eyes out for two reasons. Sebastian being the number one. He's quite old, he has chronic renal problems and a virus/bacteria infection was the last thing we needed. (no Twisted Tuesday challenge)
- Wednesday is tomorrow and I WILL BE MISSING THE BOAT. That's the number two reason why I'm crying. I was supposed to go to Lübeck/Germany with my parents from Wed to Sun. We were supposed to have some quality nothing-to-do-time at the boat and then go on a shopping spree in the goth clothes shops downtown, visit the graveyard (I love old graveyards), stay at a top-notch hotel downtown and generally have fun. Relax. I wasn't too keen on the idea of going to anywhere with my parents, but only now I realized how much I had counted on the trip.

I will stay at home taking care of Sebastian. No problem there, my base principle with pets is that if you have one, it takes the priority over everything, but I still would have liked to go. There will be art and I will catch up with all challenges - even only out of mule-headedness and spite - but not today. Today I'm having a huge pity party all by myself.

Satuday Stamper's challenge for today was diptychs. I had never done these before, but I had fun creating them.It was a bit like making book covers without any pages.

I'm soooo disappointed!

I'm minoring in gender studies because I thought that they would end up being useful when it comes to my academic career. My master's thesis in psychology was about femicides and the men who committed them. I had hoped that gender studies would give me new insight to the matter or at least some tools to work with. But no, it's just total poop and no help whatsoever.
